Wk 1 - rigging overview ; tentacle
In this week we learnt the basic introduction to joint creation, skinning and control creation. By the end of the lesson I had a broad understanding of the basic workflows for creating a rig in Maya. We also looked a bit at mash in Maya.

Wk 2 - Joint creation - Robot
In this lesson we learned about joint creation. How to move the joints, how they must align in a correct order, how to parent them to a mesh.





Wk 3 - skinning

ASSESSMENT 1
For this assignment I had to model a robot and then rig it. I modelled my robot in Maya and then I added joints to where I wanted them to be and I parented the joints accordingly. I added some nurbs circles as a control for the joints and also added an attribute to make the claw close and open.




ASSESMENT 02
For this assignment I modelled a 3D mouse/rat inspired from ratatouille. I used both Maya and Zbrush to mode it and then textured in substance painter. I then added a skeleton and binded it to the mesh and fixed it by using the paint tools. I then animated it and rendered it out.
