Wk 1 - intro to Mocap
In this week we had a brief introduction to Motion capture and learned how to make a quick rig control for a model as well as attach some motion capture data to it.

Wk 2 - HIK Quick Rig Customisation
First we added a skeleton to the Stewart mesh and we made a quick rig for it.

Then we repeated this process fro a bony mesh but manually added in joints for the fingers.

We then imported some motion capture data and a model downloaded off of the internet and attached them together.

Wk 3 - Maya HIK editing and cleanup
In this lesson we learned how to fix some issues that may happen with motion capture data.
For the first task we fixed the hip alignment on our character. The left side of the hip was pointing forward across the whole animation. In order to fix this we used an animation layer and rotted the hipsEffector at frame 00.
We then had to fix the knees of another animation where they were tilted out. Using an animation layer I rotated and keyed the right and left hip effectors.
Then I also fixed some finger posing as in one of the animations the actor is throwing punches. However the hands aren't placed correctly as there is no animation on the fingers. I created a new layer foe the rig and posed and keyed the fingers at frame 00 to create overall fist pose the sequence.

ASSESSMENT 1
MOTION CAPTURE SETUP AND RETARGETING
For this assignment I added a motion capture data to a model downloaded from the internet. First i made a quick rig of the model and aligned all the joints correctly. Then I made a skeleton and manually added joints for the hands. I brought in the motion capture data and baked it with the mesh. I used animation layers to reposition the hands into fists.

Wk 4 -
ASSESMENT 02
For this assignment I added a a motion capture data to a model and fixed it to suit. I animated a set of cameras in the camera sequencer and then exported an ubercam for my rendering. I sculpted the scene around the character and used Arnold to render it out. However, I had to render out at a lower quality than I wanted because my computer was giving me many problems.
